Diwali

We have three children in our class who celebrate Diwali with their families; Anusheel, Ayesha and Chrystal.  Anusheel bought some Indian sweets to share with our class.  Ayesha and Chrystal showed us some Indian dances and talked to us about how they decorate themselves and the clothes they wear.

We read stories and watched programmes about Diwali.
We decorated our cut out hand outlines with henna patterns.  Some children made Happy Diwali cards for Ayesha, Chrystal and Anusheel.
